El Fenix - Nosara Restaurant & Bar

In Mythology, the Phoenix is a bird of prey representing longevity and rebirth. According to legend, there can only be one Phoenix at a time, it lives for 500 to 1000 years and when it dies in a fire of its own making, it is then reborn out of the ashes. Among some accounts, the Phoenix represents those living in paradise enjoying eternal youth. We chose the name El Fenix for our restaurant, because we truly believe we are living in paradise enjoying our own eternal youth. But mostly, the name El Fenix represents our determination to succeed in life and happiness and should we fail….we will rise again out of the ashes.

The El Fenix Restaurant at Refugio Del Sol boasts “Nosara’s Best Breakfast” and offers a full breakfast, lunch and Sunday Brunch menu. El Fenix Restaurant offers an authentic Costa Rican atmosphere with a Southern Style American theme, excellent food and unmatched service. A full breakfast and lunch menu is served from 7am-2pm Tuesday – Saturday. In the evening, El Fenix serves a delectable dinner menu of some Low Country favorites, special dishes and Nosara’s only full Nacho Bar from 6pm-10pm Tues-Sun. El Fenix also serves the only Sunday Brunch in Playa Pelada from 10am – 2pm with $2 Bloody Marys and Mimosas. You can entertain yourself nightly with events and interactive activities including live music, trivia, movies on our giant projector screen, Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3, Ping Pong and more.
